ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Emilia Morrow is a ceramicist with a background in both design and art. Combining traditional techniques of Japanese pottery with a contemporary aesthetic, her work ranges from functional ware to vessels that balance minimal forms with the intricate and experimental surface textures produced by a reduction atmosphere— an environment which lends itself to emergent and unpredictable glaze patterns unique to high temperature firing in a gas kiln.
